Dr. Levy has long been interested in people and how they live their lives. This took many forms over the years, from his studies in archaeology to his Bachelor’s Degree in World Religions, with several courses in art history, Black studies, Spanish, etc.
He taught first grade in Arizona with TEACH FOR AMERICA and later worked for non profit organizations in support of public education. Over time he learned that his passion was working with individuals or small groups around intimate issues.
He then earned his doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) from the Massachusetts School for Professional Psychology (renamed William James College). Before full time private practice, Dr Levy worked at Harvard University’s Mental Health Services. There he conducted individual, couples, and group therapy for members of the Harvard Community, as well as being a supervisor for counselors and a speaker regarding a range of psychological topics.
He also served two terms as a board member for the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy (NSGP).
Dr. Levy is currently in private practice where he enjoys working with a variety of people as an individual, couples, and group therapist, as well as a consultant and coach for other therapists and professionals.
